Bishops Pond was opened to members on 4th July 2011, it is a 2.5 acre farm pond. New fishing pegs and a small bridge have been built to upgrade the old platforms and create easier access for club members. Would all members be aware that the paths around the pond do get slippery in wet conditions and please be careful when fishing the car park bank pegs as the water is over 6ft deep in some of the margins. | From the M4 J34 follow sign for Llantrisant, follow dual carriage way through 2 sets of lights. Corner park Garage will be on your left get into right hand lane and take filter lane to turn right. The right turn has several notices on the facing wall as you get to it, turn right and follow the lane past the Barn pub, and go past Leekes warehouse. There are then 3 entrances in front of you, one staright ahead and two parallel lanes on the right, you take the second right lane and follow about 1/2 mile until you get to a right hand spur in the lane, you can not go sraight ahead as it leads to a farm, there is a private sign on the gate. take right spur to our gate (Club lock) and follow till you get to the car park. |
