GAC Charity Fun Fishing Event 2010 - Treoes Pond.

This years Charity Fun Fishing event at Treoes will be held from Friday 18th June to Sunday 20th June. Any Club member who would like to apply to enter the event should contact Colin Farnham on 07813 001869.

As there are limited places available, it is advisable to book your place as early as possible. More details will follow later in the year.


The 2008 Charity Event which is organized by Colin Farnham and Mick Frazer was an experience. All competitors caught fish and many needed plenty of sun tan cream as the event was held during the hottest weekend of the year. A fantastic £3500 was raised for the nominated charities and both the Vale of Glamorgan Foster Children and Marie Curie Cancer Care received the sponsorship monies collected. The Foster Children used the event money to pay for a well earned  Xmas Party which Colin Farnham kindly volunteered to be Father Christmas and gave all the Children a present from the Club.
